Copays and Deductibles

Imagine if you went grocery shopping and found out the cost of your bill AFTER you went home. Only to realize you could not afford your groceries. In an effort to advocate for our patients and in compliance with the new "No Surprises Act" Starting in 2022, there are new protections that prevent surprise medical bills.

An unexpected balance from an out-of-network provider is also called a surprise medical bill.

This act requires that health care providers and facilities give you an easy-to-understand notice explaining the applicable billing, who to contact if you have concerns and patient consent for billing protections

We collect deductibles, copays and coinsurances at the time of your appointment so you know your cost in an effort to prevent patients from receiving unexpected bills after their visits. Please be aware that you may still receive a bill after your visit if the billing information provided to our office by your insurance company has changed.

How is the Cost for My Appointment Calculated?

We have the rates your insurance uses for certain procedures.

Is my insurance in-network?

Insurance carriers have multiple plan types, and we cannot guarantee that we are in network with every plan. Please check with your insurance carrier (usually their website) to verify we are in network with your particular plan. Out of network charges are ultimately the patient's responsibility.

Please note that our electronic insurance eligibility checks simply help to verify that your insurance is active. It also helps to verify your copays and remaining deductibles. Eligibility does not confirm if we are an in-network provider.

Cards on file

Cards on file are required for all patients. You will be asked to place a card on file before or at the time of your visit. Please review our financial policy and no show fee policy for further information on how your card on file is used.

Why Should I Sumbit my Insurance iNFO in advance?

Please make sure we have your insurance information one week before your appointment. If we are unable to run an eligibility check on your insurance information, please be prepared to pay for your visit and any procedures out of pocket.
