Dr. Johnson is a board-certified dermatologist who grew up in Chicagoland and pursued her medical education at Washington University School of Medicine. Alongside earning a Masters of Population Health Sciences, she completed her dermatology residency, culminating as Chief Resident. Her research garnered her the prestigious James Henry Yalem Prize for her work, notably focusing on the health-related quality of life among patients battling melanoma and other invasive cancers. Her contributions extend beyond dermatology, delving into shared decision-making for patients, notably featured in the journal JAMA Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Johnson has co - authored publications with dermatologists from Harvard University and the department head at Washington University in St. Louis. In addition, she has published scholarly articles in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, and the British Journal of Dermatology.
In addition to her practice at St. Louis Dermatology Center, she also devotes her expertise to the Veterans Affairs dermatology clinic, where she mentors residents and medical students. Additionally, Dr. Johnson actively participates in the American Academy of Dermatology. In her free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys painting, traveling, watching college sports, and playing pickleball with her husband and their families.
